Amaravati Poetic Prism, 2016, Launchpad to Growing Poetry Compilations!!
The humble beginning made in a short time in 2015 provided a launchpad to this flagship initiative of CCVA to gain wings, impress and attract more poets in more languages. Also, the format of this unique international multilingual poetry anthology conceptualized and developed by the editor Padmaja Iyengar-Paddy and the efficient and warm hospitality of CCVA at the 1st Multilingual Poets’ Meet, provided the anthology and the event a great word-of-mouth publicity. TheAmaravati Poetic Prism-2016 anthology had us compile 527 poems in 53 languages.
The 2nd International Multilingual Poets’ Meet held on 13 and 14 November, 2016 at Vijayawada, saw this international multilingual poetry anthology launched by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu. The 2-day poetry event was attended by 100 poets from different parts of India and also a senior poet from Thailand Late Prof. PornpenHantrakool. Amaravati Poetic Prism-2016 was recognized by the Limca Book of Records (published by Coca Cola Ltd.) as a “Poetry Anthology in Most Languages”. CCVA’s warm hospitality and excellent stay arrangements were much appreciated by the delegates.

Amaravati Poetic Prism, 2018 - Record compilation of 1111 Poems from 500 Poets in 107 languages from 76 Countries!!
With the excellent quality of poetry and renowned poets that the previous editions of this international multilingual poetry anthology compiled and edited by Ms. Padmaja Iyengar-Paddy, have been able to showcase, and with poets, both Indian and international, introducing other poets in various languages, Amaravati Poetic Prism-2018 saw a record compilation of 1111 poems in 107 languages contributed by over 500 poets from 76 countries, yet another milestone reached by CCVA! Besides, this anthology has poems by a Padma Vibhushan, 3 Padma Shris, 2 Gnanpith awards, and many Kendra and State SahityaAkademi awards in different languages. The overseas poets too comprised winners of top poetry prizes, one of them a Noble Prize nominee for Literature and another a nominee for Pulitzer Prize-2018.This international multilingual poetry anthology was launched at CCVA’s 4th International Multilingual Poets’ Meet at Vijayawada on 10 and 11 November, 2018 by the then Hon’ble Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Dr. Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, Hon’ble Dy. Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad and Padma Shri Dr. Vishnu Pandya (who was also a delegate at the event, representing Gujarati language). The event saw participation by 118 poet delegates that included A Padma Shri recipient, several SahityaAkademi winners and 18 international poet delegates from 15 countries viz. Albania, Bangladesh, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Mauritius, Mongolia, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, South Korea and USA. 42 languages including 17 foreign languages were represented at this event. Amaravati Poetic Prism 2018 was recognized by the Limca Book of Records (published by Coca Cola Ltd.) as a “Poetry Anthology in Most Languages”. CCVA also received the Setu Award of Excellence-2018 instituted by Setu, the Pittsburgh-based bilingual literary journal, for its contribution to literature, arts and culture.
