Amaravati Poetic Prism – A Multilingual International Poets Meet

Amaravati Poetic Prism, the signature Flagship Program of CCVA is an International Poetry Anthology and the International Multilingual Poets’ Meetcompiled and edited by Ms. Padmaja Iyengar-Paddy, Honorary Literary Advisor. This popular international multilingual poetry anthology has gained ample recognition and applause from all quarters, attracting some of the most talented poets from all corners of the world!!

Amaravati Poetic Prism, 2015, The Humble Start!!

The first Amaravati Poetic Prism international multilingual poetry anthology came up in 2015 soon after CCVA’s inauguration. It was compiled and edited by Ms. Padmaja Iyengar-Paddy within 2 months and had a modest 142 poems in 19 languages. Amaravati Poetic Prism 2015 was launched by Smt. Gadde Anuradha, Chairperson of the Krishna Zilla Parishad at CCVA’s 1st Multilingual Poets’ Meet at Vijayawada on 19 September, 2015 attended by 60 poets from different part of India. It also received recognition from the Wonder Book of Records.

Amaravati Poetic Prism, 2016, Launchpad to Growing Poetry Compilations!!

The humble beginning made in a short time in 2015 provided a launchpad to this flagship initiative of CCVA to gain wings, impress and attract more poets in more languages. Also, the format of this unique international multilingual poetry anthology conceptualized and developed by the editor Padmaja Iyengar-Paddy and the efficient and warm hospitality of CCVA at the 1st Multilingual Poets’ Meet, provided the anthology and the event a great word-of-mouth publicity. TheAmaravati Poetic Prism-2016 anthology had us compile 527 poems in 53 languages.

The 2nd International Multilingual Poets’ Meet held on 13 and 14 November, 2016 at Vijayawada, saw this international multilingual poetry anthology launched by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu. The 2-day poetry event was attended by 100 poets from different parts of India and also a senior poet from Thailand Late Prof. PornpenHantrakool. Amaravati Poetic Prism-2016 was recognized by the Limca Book of Records (published by Coca Cola Ltd.) as a “Poetry Anthology in Most Languages”. CCVA’s warm hospitality and excellent stay arrangements were much appreciated by the delegates.

Amaravati Poetic Prism, 2017 - Breathtaking compilation of 948 Poems in 85 languages from 68 countries!!

The record set by Amaravati Poetic Prism-2016 was further enhanced in Amaravati Poetic Prism 2017 by the editor Ms. Padmaja Iyengar-Paddy, with breathtakingcompilation of 948 poems in 85 languages from 68 countries. The poetry anthology also saw participation of several SahityaAkademi winners in various languages including Padma Vibhushan, SahityaAkademi and Jnanpith awardee Dr. Sitakant Mahapatra’s Odia and English poetry as also international poets who were Noble Prize and Pulitzer Prize nominees and recipients of other prestigious literary awards like the Naji Naaman Prize, European Poetry Grand Prix Prize etc., CCVA’s 3rd International Multilingual Poets’ Meet on 11th& 12th November, 2017 inaugurated by the then Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Dr. Kodela Siva Pprasada Rao who also launched Amaravati Poetic Prism 2017 the anthology in book form and also a CD version, saw participation of 110 poet delegates representing various Indian languages including several SahityaAkademi winners and also 16 international poet delegates from 12 countries viz., Albania, Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and USA. Amaravati Poetic Prism 2017 was recognized by the Limca Book of Records (published by Coca Cola Ltd.) as a “Poetry Anthology in Most Languages”. And once again, CCVA’s efficiency in event management and their warm hospitality was much appreciated by all the poet delegates.

Amaravati Poetic Prism, 2018 - Record compilation of 1111 Poems from 500 Poets in 107 languages from 76 Countries!!

With the excellent quality of poetry and renowned poets that the previous editions of this international multilingual poetry anthology compiled and edited by Ms. Padmaja Iyengar-Paddy, have been able to showcase, and with poets, both Indian and international, introducing other poets in various languages, Amaravati Poetic Prism-2018 saw a record compilation of 1111 poems in 107 languages contributed by over 500 poets from 76 countries, yet another milestone reached by CCVA! Besides, this anthology has poems by a Padma Vibhushan, 3 Padma Shris, 2 Gnanpith awards, and many Kendra and State SahityaAkademi awards in different languages. The overseas poets too comprised winners of top poetry prizes, one of them a Noble Prize nominee for Literature and another a nominee for Pulitzer Prize-2018.This international multilingual poetry anthology was launched at CCVA’s 4th International Multilingual Poets’ Meet at Vijayawada on 10 and 11 November, 2018 by the then Hon’ble Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Dr. Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, Hon’ble Dy. Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad and Padma Shri Dr. Vishnu Pandya (who was also a delegate at the event, representing Gujarati language). The event saw participation by 118 poet delegates that included A Padma Shri recipient, several SahityaAkademi winners and 18 international poet delegates from 15 countries viz. Albania, Bangladesh, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Mauritius, Mongolia, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, South Korea and USA. 42 languages including 17 foreign languages were represented at this event. Amaravati Poetic Prism 2018 was recognized by the Limca Book of Records (published by Coca Cola Ltd.) as a “Poetry Anthology in Most Languages”. CCVA also received the Setu Award of Excellence-2018 instituted by Setu, the Pittsburgh-based bilingual literary journal, for its contribution to literature, arts and culture.

Amaravati Poetic Prism-2019 – Growing Momentum to the World Poetry with 1303 Poems from 761 Poets in 125 Languages from 86 Countries!!

The momentum set by Amaravati Poetic Prism 2018 saw another quantum leap through Amaravati Poetic Prism-2019 that had 1303 poems in 125 languages by over 761 poets from 86 countries, compiled and edited by Ms. Padmaja Iyengar-Paddy. Once again, this international multilingual poetry anthology showcased poems by a Padma Vibhushan, 3 Padma Shris, 2 Jnanpith awardees, several SahityaAkademi winners and other top Indian literary awards, and among the international poets 2 Nobel Prize nominees, 2 Pulitzer Prize nominees and recipients of several prestigious international poetry prizes and awards. Amaravati Poetic Prism-2019 was launched at CCVA’s 5th International Multilingual Poets’ Meet at Vijayawada on 21 and 22 December, 2019 by the Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh Sri BiswabhusanHarichandan with Padma Vibhushan Dr. Sitakant Mahapatra and Padma Shri Dr. Vishnu Pandya as Distinguished Guests of Honour on both the days. The event was attended by 104 poet delegates that included 10 international delegates from 10 countries viz. Bangladesh, France, Germany, Italy, Oman, Mauritius, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Switzerland. In all, 36 languages including 8 foreign languages were represented at this event. Amaravati Poetic Prism 2019 is once again under active Limca Records contention as a “Poetry Anthology in Most Languages” and has also been receiving appreciation both from Indian and international poets. CCVA received an Award of Institutional Excellence-2019 from Motivational Strips, a worldwide community of poets and writers, for its contribution to literature, arts and culture.
